Conor McLaughlin was celebrating last night, when he came on the field in pescara to make his international debut for Northern Ireland.
The talented Preston midfielder had been tipped for a full international cap some years ago, but had his progress halted by a broken leg, which kept him out of action for almost 9 months.
His return to first team action at North End has seen his stock rise again, and he was called up to the recent double-header against Italy and Luxembourg. Whilst he didn’t start, he came on for Oliver Norwood with 16 minutes to go.
Well done Conor.
