English side Sunderland Football Club have already started planning for next season and are already making plans toward this summer. While they have been scouting for players that they will be signing in the summer, they have also been working on likely departures as they have already made a list of players set to be allowed to leave the club. The list contains as many as seven senior team players who will now be departing the club and they are now free to talk to any club of their choice.
While the club were creating a list of the players they do not want to keep, they were also busy making another list of the players they want to remain ahead of next season. The players the club have decided to hold contract negotiations with include Aiden McGeady, Charlie Wyke, Denver Hume, and Luke O’Nien. All four players have been handed new contracts and are expected to agree to the new terms and sign their extensions in the coming days.
Ollie Younger is also another player on the list of the players who are expected to stay behind and the youngster has one year left on his current deal. The club’s fans have expressed satisfaction at the list of the players to be released and have also called on the Wearside club to try and sign more players this summer as replacements for the ones that are leaving.
